l13v is a small AI research lab and an independent consulting practice. The arc runs from maths and physics, through complexity science — emergence, chaotic and nonlinear dynamics — to vision and control systems, and a decade of architecture in the highest-precision industry there is. The current work — agent harnessing and ontology-based query systems, measured against ground truth — is the culmination of that systems understanding and software engineering: a convergence, not a pivot.

Latest — Adjudicating semantic layers against raw backends

6 August 2026

How I evaluate semantic query layers: every claim executed twice — on the surface under test and re-derived directly against the backend. A worked example shows how two ordinary joins can silently turn sum(10) into 40.
